Thunder Bob and the Sand Dunes

Once upon a time, there were three cheeky monkeys- one named Zach, one named Josh and the littliest one named Kaytlin.

It was a bright, sunny day and Kaytlin decided to go to the beach with her brothers. So they all jumped into the 4WD, buckled up and headed off to Stockton Beach.

When they got to the beach, the sand was nice and soft. Zach jumped out of the 4WD and let down the tires.

“There you go”, he said, “Now we will have good grip in the sand”.

Well…so he thought…

“Wee…!” yelled Josh as the monkeys drove up and down the sand dunes.

Then, they came across a big hill. The monkeys went too fast and suddenly slid off the side of the hill. Their car was stuck in the soft sand!

Kaytlin started  to cry.

“That’s alright” said Zach, “Lucky we packed a shovel”.

They got out the shovel and tried to dig out the sand. They took turns and kept digging and digging. They tried to drive out, but the wheels kept spinning and spinning. It was no use- they were stuck.

It started to get cold and dark. The Three Cheeky Monkeys began to get worried.

“Help!” they yelled. “Help”.

But no-one could hear them.

Just then, Joshua came up with an idea. He reached for his phone and called his best friend, Thunder Bob.

“Hi Thunder”, said Joshua. “We need your help! We were driving in the sand dunes and slid off a big hill in our 4WD. We are stuck and can’t get out. It’s getting dark!”

“Don’t worry, mate”, replied Thunder Bob. “It’s time for a THUNDER STORM!”

Thunder Bob reved his engine and headed off as fast as he could to rescue the Three Cheeky Monkeys. He quickly pulled out a big rope from his truck and hooked it to the monkeys 4WD.

With a mighty roar of the engine, he drove forward and out came the Monkeys 4WD from the soft sand.

“Horray!” they all cheered. “Thanks, Thunder Bob! You’re the best Monster Truck ever”.

“No worries, monkeys. Now, I have a surprise for you!”

And with that, Thunder Bob pulled out 3 juicy bananas- one for each hungry monkey.

“Go on home, Monkeys and stay out of trouble!”
