* Don’t wait for the warning light to tell you the toilet is full- dump it when you know it’s close! (discovered by Joe in a nasty way when the kids kept using the toilet and didn’t tell us the light had come on)

* Double check that all window locks havn’t come loose whilst driving (discovered by Mel when her bedside window lock had come loose on the way to Armidale and proceeded to have ice on the INSIDE of the window the following morning)

*The floor of the caravan will NEVER be clean- so just do the the best you can (grass- sand- dirt of every color- no chance!)

* There will ALWAYS be another gadget the man wants to buy- even into your trip when you think he has bought everything possibly available (discovered by Mel when we are still stopping at Super Cheap AND FBC 2 weeks into the trip! Listen closely for the words: ‘I just want to stop into…”)

* There will always be more hand cream, sweet products and delicious cheeses- so don’t bother bringing any from home! Happy shopping!

* Don’t try and match up the km range the GPS tells you with the diesel km range the car says you have. It dosn’t work like that! (Discovered too many times after too many close calls. At least we carried spare diesel after the 1st incident!)
